Two Weeks in Pictures

I’m back home!

leaving for London
business class

I took over 1000+ pictures while I was gone!

I spent a few days in London ..

Then a few more days in India.  I said going into this, I was going to take this opportunity for what it was worth, and let it change me.

And it did!  India really was a life changing experience.  If you look past the pollution, and all the people, India is a great, culturally diverse, beautiful place.  I really enjoyed my time there, and the people I met!  However, I am so glad to be home!!  I really got homesick, and could not wait to touch down in the US!

I think Sammy missed me.  He has not left my side since I got back!

This week, I am working from home, and I am so glad!  I have had a tough time adjusting and coping with the jet lag.  I am just SO TIRED.  As every day goes by, it gets better, but I have really needed these few days for adjusting!

Incredible India

Meanwhile, you better believe I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.  Like toilet paper.  And clean bathrooms.  You may think I’m joking …  in India I carried tp and hand wipes everywhere I went!

I ate some pretty awesome food too, and I bought an Indian cookbook to help me create some of the things I ate in India here at home!  I can’t wait to share them!

And now this worldwide traveler is going to take another nap!!

  3. Welcome home Jane. Glad you had a good time, and “awww” that Sammy won’t leave your side. The little guy missed you!!! Have a great Wed.

    • Thanks Roz! He really did miss me! He still just is constantly watching me and following me around lol. My husband showed me some “sad Sammy” pictures he took. Good thing he didn’t show me while I was gone, or I would really have gotten homesick! We did Skype some while I was gone, and he would put Sammy in front of the computer. I could tell he recognized my voice, but didn’t know where it was coming from! hahaha

  4. Welcome back! Glad to hear the trip was successful.

  9. Welcome back Jane! I think the best part of traveling, no matter the experiences and good times you have, is coming home and appreciating everything you do have–like the people (and pets) that love you ;) Now I’ve gotta catch up on your posts since!

  10. I tried to comment on this using my phone last night, but I don’t think it worked (if you get ten million comments attempts from me–I apologize :D ) So glad you’re back and that you had quite the experience! And as amazing, fabulous and awesome as any vacation is–I love that feeling of coming home to the people (and pets) that are waiting for you! And oh man, after my two months in Africa, I’d never been so glad of toilets that are more than holes over waste pits and, yes, the glories of toilet paper!

    • Thank you!!!! It is soooo good to be home. Even though it has been a couple weeks now, it really has made me thankful for so many little things! And I still have the little things that I am remembering to tell my husband :) Sammy is SO glad I am back home! I can tell sometimes when I am getting ready to go someplace he is thinking if I am really going to come back … poor dude!
